Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my Kruti Dev text show as English letters?
Kruti Dev 010 is a non-Unicode font. It stores Hindi as English keyboard characters and only draws them as Hindi when the Kruti Dev font is applied. On a website, in WhatsApp or on a computer without the font, you see letters like "Hkkjr" instead of "भारत". Converting to Unicode fixes this permanently.
How do I convert Kruti Dev to Mangal?
Mangal is a Unicode Hindi font. Paste your Kruti Dev text here, copy the Unicode output and paste it into your document. It will display in Mangal or any other Unicode Hindi font.
Will the converted text work in Google Docs, email and websites?
Yes. Unicode is the standard used by every modern system, so the converted Hindi can be searched, shared and edited anywhere without installing any font.
Are ि and र् placed correctly?
Yes. Kruti Dev types the short i matra (ि) before the consonant and the reph (र्) after the syllable. The converter moves both to their Unicode positions, so "fLFkfr" becomes स्थिति and "dk;ZØe" becomes कार्यक्रम.
Does it work for Kruti Dev fonts other than 010?
It follows the Kruti Dev 010 key mapping, which most Kruti Dev fonts (such as 011 and 016) share for regular letters. A few rare symbols differ between versions and may need a manual fix.
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser. It is free, needs no signup and has no text limit.
